How to play

The turn

Spin the tumbler. A ball drops and shows what was called — for example H · The Liahona. Everyone who has that square taps it (or marks a printed copy). That's a full turn: nobody needs to know anything to play.

The learning (your choice, every ball)

  • The story — every ball has a short story and a scripture reference. Read it aloud, discuss it, or skip it. Depth is a dial, not a gate.
  • Guess-first mode — the ball shows a hint before the answer. Let the class guess; tap for a clearer hint or reveal whenever you like.
  • Prove-it mode — to claim a win, the winner (with the class's help) tells one thing about each square in their line. The reference is on screen as a backup.

Playing across several devices

One device is the Caller — it runs the tumbler and shows a game code. Everyone else opens the same page, picks Player, and types that code. Each player gets their own card on their own screen and sees nothing but their card and the called list.

There is no network involved: the code itself decides both the cards and the order the balls come out, so every device works out the same game. That means a player's screen only needs to know which ball number the caller is on. Tap Next ball each time the caller draws — and if you lose your place, read the big ball number off the caller's screen, type it in, and tap Catch up.

Players who want a different card from their neighbour just pick a different card number when joining. Everyone must choose the same clue set (Primary or Study) as the caller.

The card

Columns spell N·E·P·H·I: Names, Events, Places, Holy things, Ideas. Each ball is tagged with its column letter, so players only search one column of five squares. Center is free — it holds Christ.
